Uncle axel was telling stories about other islands that have mutations. For example one places had only pink hair and white skin, another place he claimed they all turned black. he could tell a story about one of his adventures at the fringes or badlands. it will be a mysterious story that he nearly died on and nobody must know about it. Also he says an encounter he had with them how they are friendly and allowed him even they thought he was different. he contradicts with the fact that they are human and not mutants. The place is a ruin of the old people where secrets have passed down but uncle axel must not reveal them. This is one of his secrets that David could not tell.
