Writing Scene in Shakespearean language

Shakespeare play: Scene 1: The New king
King Edward and his son Caliban, travel through the county, on horses. Young Francisco is there seeing them whist collecting food for his family.

King Edward: Son, I know how dear it its to thou.

Caliban: Father, I really want the throne, King Caliban

King E : It suits you my dear son. Time flies away.

Caliban: How can one wait to claim the divine throne?
I am so sorry father, it is for the best.
This dagger, shalt bring me power, die Father!
(Stabs him through the heart.)

King E: What betrayal, my own son! What a father
I must have been, I weep rivers of blood.
Dear son in my last breath I tell you- (Collapses of his horse)

Francisco: O’ lord, am I dreaming somebody pinch
me, awake me from this villainous act.
I must go home, my family must know.

Francisco: Mother, Father hath thou heard of the King?

Lorenzo: What is this of the king?

Julia: Naught I know of.

Francisco: Slain by his own son! O, what sinful day.

Lorenzo: How did this come, art thee sure.

Julia: Francisco, (approaches him) Don’t be poisoned by rumours.

Francisco: I only speak of the truth. King Edgar murder’d!
I saw this before me, whence I went to farm.
(Uncle Ross enters, and eats)

Ross: O’ dear Julia. This dish is fit for the Gods.

Julia: Thank you dear brother.

Francisco: Uncle Ross, hath thou heard of the Kings death?
Thus been slaughtered by his son! Blood staining
The hands of divine Prince Caliban
I say divine, devil free in our realm.

Lorenzo: Enough with fairy tales. We shalt attend the town hall.

(Everybody leaves the house)

Doomsayer: Prince Caliban brings red skies, rivers of
blood, we all descend into this bed of death.

Francisco: This man gives warning, something doth approach.

Julia: Silence thy everlasting lips of darkness. (Sits down along with everybody else)

(Prince Caliban enters the stage)

Caliban: I speak here before you. My father
Was a great man. Killed before my eyes.

Lorenzo: Francisco, rumours deceive you, the mind
thinks the eyes doth not ponder. Mind is a
Illusion, an endless dream that dose not awake.

Francisco : My, father, mother nobody takes in the
words I speak of. That sight is engraved in
my mind, naught will erase it. Eternal stain.

Caliban: I warn thee Abhor me and thou shall find
thee amongst Satans dungeons or take the
path of the wise, peace a fair and strong land.
The choice lies with thou, but known of consequence.

Francisco: Lies upon me father? What’s this I hear?

Lorenzo: Dear child, the king must be tough to discipline.

Julia: Thus speaking of an assassination.
Caliban not responsible for Edward.

Doomsayer: I abhor thou! Treacherous, woeful lord!
(The crowd, startled gaze at him in silence)

Caliban: Thou! In the midst of oceans, reveal thou self.
Thou! In villainous robes, do not tempt me.
Fly hence, be gone, don’t urge me to fury.
Executioner, fetch thy dagger.

Doomsayer: I reveal my self, swift like a shadow
The shadow thou has cast over our country!
(Spits I’n his face)

Julia: Lorenzo, we must leave hence! Away from-

Caliban: This dagger before me, shalt be thy last.
(Stabs him)

Doomsayers: O, I fall into the hands of death.
What heavenly clouds I see. Am I dead?
I fade away from the world I once loved
Be rid of, Caliban! Burn to ashes. Farewell. (Falls and dies)
(Everybody cries and runs away)

Caliban: Doth not flee, God has decided his fate
(sits on the throne)
This dagger has tasted royal blood
peasant blood, how much more must it feed on
I warned everybody clearer than the
beautiful morning sky.

Lorenzo: We must flee these lands. Away from the king.

Julia: O’Fransisco we now see this creature.
Calibn has crawled out of the darkness
revealing beast under the innocent
king we all bowed to and loved

Fransisco: Flee? This mum must be rid of! I fear not

Julia: How canst thou imagine of such thing
Let Caliban wilt like a wild flower
the lonely flower amongst a desert.

Lorenzo:Son, seek peace, not death. Caliban draws death
the nearer thou gets the clearer thou sees
thy gravestone impaled into the Earth

Fransisco: I beseech you father, allow me to
bring this man down. Even if i have to
bring him beneath the Earth with me.

Julia: Beseech not, we shalt be leaving hence

Fransisco: I shall be the pillar of these lands
strong enough to withstand a mountain
(Runs out of the house)

Lorenzo: Get back into this house!

Julia: fetch him Lorenzo.(Runs out after him)

This is still not finished and has room for improvement.

When I copied this from my original Pages document the lines that were supposed to have spaces to continue the Iambic Pentameter where just created as a new line. So I will have to correct this another day.

      That can be really annoying!

One thing that might work is to switch your text entry field on here to “Visual” and see if it imports the formatting properly.

There’s also a formatted text paste function that I can show you that may also solve that problem.

I’m fascinated that you chose to write something historical rather than contemporary. Nice innovation.

Thanks for the help sir, I have changed the format and hopefully it will work. Do you have any ideas of what I can do to improve this, or what to write beyond?
